Edgar Wright - How to Do Visual Comedy

Edgar wright is definitely one of my favorite directors of all time. I feel like he mixes the traditional form of editing/framing with a more abstract style so perfectly!!

Like Wes Anderson is amazing visually, but IMO to a degree that makes it more artsy and dry than some people can handle.

Wright was thirty, THIRTY when he directed Shaun of the Dead. like what????

His frame comp is AMAZING I can really feel just how much attention to detail he puts into his scenes, especially within the relationship between his actors, their environment and the objects they’re holding. Sometimes I feel he planned the exact angles he wanted arms to move in each shot!!

Favorite favorite favorite.

His use of intense forms of light in Scott pilgrim is the best!! The scene w/ Kim, when Scott’s ex gf performs, perfect perfect!

I could watch his movies all day

It’s unfortunate how many people didn’t take this message away from the debate.

Bill Nye was just SO ENTHUSIASTIC about the topic. You could tell.
For God’s sake, the man was trying to teach people about photosynthesis when asked what his favourite colour was. That’s a man that ADORES science and absolutely loves teaching people.
Suddenly, I was 12 and watching a Bill Nye The Science Guy episode at my grandma’s school while she was decorating the gym.

Here is a fancy witch to celebrate having a new tablet (and Harry Potter Jo/Rowling’s birthday too :) ) And who could go wrong with that bird hat, right? I’m forever on a quest to push my paint application to a stronger place … One step forward

beautiful *as always* <33
